Project Description:
The project aims to bridge the skills gap in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and contribute to the development of a highly skilled labor force in Georgia.
Supported by the USAID Industry-Led Skills Development Program, this significant initiative will create comprehensive training programs in AI, focusing on machine learning and deep learning. The project will include partnerships between various representatives from the private and public sectors, ensuring a collaborative approach to developing AI skills in the country.
The project will feature extensive dissemination activities, organizing info sessions across different regions of Georgia, including Tbilisi, to raise awareness about the training programs. Hackathons and workshops will be conducted in cities such as Batumi, Kutaisi, Telavi, and Tbilisi, fostering innovation and skill development among participants. AI Course Introductory Videos will be created to provide an overview of the course content, objectives, and benefits.
A state-of-the-art Learning Platform will be developed to deliver AI course content and support the learning process. This platform will provide participants with access to resources, assignments, and interactive features, enhancing their learning experience. The AI course will be designed to include a 9-month comprehensive program and a 2-month pre-course, ensuring alignment with industry needs and providing participants with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Lecturers for the program will be practitioners from the AI industry, offering practical and up-to-date knowledge to the participants. The course content will be developed in collaboration with potential employers to ensure its relevance to the current job market. Video classes will be recorded to provide flexibility in learning, and the Learning Platform will be regularly updated to maintain its functionality and usability. In total, around 218 participants will be trained/retrained in the fields mentioned above.
The significance of this project lies in its potential to transform the AI landscape in Georgia. By fostering innovation and developing essential AI skills, the project aims to contribute to sustainable growth in the ICT sector. The commitment of Supernova, GAU, and various industry partners highlights the collaborative effort to make a lasting impact on the development of a highly skilled AI workforce in Georgia.
